Our 27 Things Adventure has been adapted from the PLCMC's Learning 2.0 project designed by Helene Blowers, Technology Director of Melbourne Australia and Stephen Abram's article, 43 Things I might want to do this year along with the website 43Things.
Kaupapa or Purpose of this Wiki
This is a collaborative learning space where staff and students of PeaK-ICT can work alongside other invited local, national and global participants as Learning Leaders. The 27 Things Adventure will:
encourage the exploration of Web 2.0 and new technologies
provide participants with a number of tools that are freely available on the Internet
How to Begin
If you are interested in participating, please email jeanettem1@rocketmail.com or add your e-mail, website or URL link to our discussion page
Your name will then be added to our list of participants, students or invited guests
What Next?
Begin by introducing yourself, leaving some contact information and your blog URL (if you have one already) on our discussion board
Click on 'The 27 Things' page for a list of all the discoveries
Start from Day 1 and complete all 27 'Things'
There are two ways that you can reflect on each 'Thing' (1) post an entry to a page set up for you within this blog or (2) create and use your own blog/wiki page - just remember to link and/or let us know what the URL will be
Each 'Thing' is designed to be a self-discovery, sellf-managing discovery
If you want help, leave a comment on the discussion board or contact Jeanette or another participant
It is encouraged that you write a weekly summary post on your blog
Informal thoughts can be placed on our home page discussion board
Remember to give regular feedback and feed forward to other participants' by visiting their blogs and leaving informative comments
